The issue of Lake Nyasa/Lake Malawi seems to consume a lot of time that could have profound effects on our economic transformation. I have time and again endeavoured to advise Malawians that the trend Muthalika and his henchmen are taking as far as oil drilling in Lake Nyasa is concerned,is a waste of time and energy. Many wise people with colossal expertise in oil business, have contradicted Malawi’s approach as reckeless and opportunistic which will lead to catastrophic environmental sequel. We must learn from countries like Nigeria the fourth largest oil producing country in the World where millions of Nigerians are living in… Read more »

Mr Nhlane, I do not agree that military prowess-wise Tanzania is stronger than Malawi…you are wrong!!! Malawi is far much better than Tanzania. It is not about how much weapons you have, but how you use them. Do your research well in DRC and you will know how Kabila spoke of Malawi soldiers. I am not insinuating that war is the best option here, but just putting facts right. Malawi is better off. Malawi can surprise Tanzania and they (TZ) will lose more should they opt to go to war with us.
