Office, traditional and dinner attires by the contestants attracted the audience attention as they watched all the contestants parading in unique style.

Speaking after winning Leticia thanked God for her success saying it wasn’t easy, saying the competition was very tough.

“I thank God that I have been chosen as Miss Lilongwe and I promise to carry out different programmes as part of social responsibilities that will help in the development of the city and even the country and with the crown I will try to inspire other girls in different schools.

“For this to be achieved I will work hand in hand with companies and organizations for assistance, “she said.

She also advised fellow contemporary pageants that modelling leans on the reality that beauty ascribes to the bosoms of one’s personality.

Former Polytechnic student, Chikondi Chisalika and Janet Katandika who is an entrepreneur emerged first and second princess respectively.

According to Students Media Group Events Manager, Tamala Bongah, Leticia is now identified as Miss Lilongwe, a youth ambassador who will champion for; youth involvement in development, entrepreneurship, health, sanitation, tourism, go green campaign, girl and youth empowerment and charity work.

Frankly, the only problem I see in this young lady is that she has poor teeth alignment. Other than that, she has all it takes to be an African queen.

Please forgive the judges. They were only doing their job. Out of all the ugly girls that were paraded on the catwalk, Leticia was the most beautiful!
