Lilongwe overwhelmed with Sexually transmitted infections
Officials at Lilongwe District Health Office say they are alarmed and overwhelmed with the number of sexually transmitted diseases which has hit 9000 in the last four months.
Richard Mvula, spokesperson for Lilongwe DHO said most of the people suffering from gonorhoea and syphilis are aged from 19 to 25 from Chinsapo, Areas 24 and 26, Msundwe, Chitedze and Kabudula, among others.
“This means more and more peope, especially the youths are engaged in unsafe sex. This is very bad because these diseases can lead to infertility, pregnant women risk their babies going blind and sometimes those involved can go mad,” he said.
He said worse still, the DHO, who run Bwaika Hospital have run out of critical drugs for the diseases.
This is really bad
fucn bastards, you can avoid some of this things at least by 60% by having your fucn dick cut!!!!!
Wether we like it or not young people are having sex. We need free condoms and family planing. Our population is growing too fast!
No surprise, that is the outcome of socializing people with rights at the expense of duty/responsibility. You encourage them to buy condoms to advance your sales and wealth. You advertise them in the name of “safe sex”, koma agogo anga ananditsimikizira kuti ‘mbuzi ikalawa mchele siyitheka/siyigwirika.’ That was the wisdom of the civilised illiterate. Their influence is now taken over by the foolishness of the confused literate. The root cause of the problem is therefore the promotion of sex outside the wedlock.
What a bad way we have taken as a generation………? No one would save us but us.
Very bad, my sons and girls watch out please!
since it has been established that STIs are rampant in Lilongwe, can some orgqnisations carry out a research to find out the root cause of this social problem?
