Malawi arrest another fake doctor at Kamuzu Central Hospital
Malawi Police in Lilongwe have arrested Lansford Gogoda aged 26 who was masquerading as a medical doctor despite that he was unqualified.
It is reported that nurses were unable to read some of the medical reports he had compiled after having treated patients and this raised more suspicions.
Gogoda is said to have raised more suspicions after he prescribed a wrong medication for a patients.
Lilongwe Police Public Relations Officer Kingsley Dandaula confirmed to Nyasa Times that the Police indeed arrested Gogoda who comes from Symon Village in Neno.
Dandaula said Gogoda was arrested in the corridors of Kamuzu Central Hospital while putting on doctor’s regalia and had stethoscope on his neck.
“We have charged him with impersonating the public servant,” said Dandaula.
Dandaula has since appealed to Kamuzu Central Hospital officials to provide their members of staff with Identification Cards to avoid repeat of the same.
Police in October 2014 arrested Wongani Akuzike Kandulu at Queen Elizabeth’s Central Hospital for the similar offence.

There is something wrong with the administration of those institution, it is not about Fake altititude but we are the people who are supposed to control all these from happening
If the man bought stethoscope, can he fail to fake an ID? The most important thing is for administrators to arrange for meetings so that people know new members of staff. A duty roster is also needed because this man was working in an office so whose office was he working in? Why did he chose that office?
