On forex there is a way where people would not use banks to transact. I know people who would just collect money from south africa and buy goods and bring them to Malawi. They underdelare values. I know of one importer of beer who has an account in South Africa and he would collect money from Malawians working in South Africa and pays their relatives Kwachas here and he uses the money to import beer which he underdeclares using a bond of a certain politician. Please Lilian, spill all the beans. Go deeper. Reveal how the bribes are collected so as to lay bare all elements of corruption so that relevant agencies delve in.

This Mike Mlombwa is another corrupt maroon. Somebody who once worked for his company said how he would inflate figures of mirage when he rents his vehicles to government agencies. He has been life chairman of Ibam and he cheats the president that Ibam has a large membership yet he is the only member and official.

Malawians generally are just dead asleep to hold anybody accountable. Right from the president to the executive, judiciary, law enforcement agencies heads of state institutions, heads of parastatals and CEOs of companies; they are all dead. This isn’t an indictment on the president but the people of Malawi. In a democratic society the people govern and hold those in power accountable. Malawians are so asleep that they are unable to use their voice to hold others accountable. The problem now adays its not the leadership but the people in authorities they dont know their role .The leadership can not have the eye to see and tackle these issues in these numerous department. Even come the leadership you name it the love of money is eratic peak and no justice at all .Look at Kamuzu International Airport they are having a lot of MERCY FLIGHTS as of now which most of the time is the conduit of either forex and drugs .The indians are the masterminderof these have an independent body not Malawians to overcome these.
