All the seven Catholic Bishops in Malawi including the Secretary General for the Episcopal of Malawi (ECM), Fr. George Buleya have left for Rome, for their “Ad Limina Apostolorum” visit, the once-every-five-years trip bishops must make to the Vatican.

The “Ad Limina Apostolorum” (Latin for “to the tombs of the Apostles”) visit brings together bishops with the Holy Father and with the Vatican dicasteries, and helps to evaluate the state of both a nation’s episcopate as well as each particular diocese.

According to the program released by the Secretary General, Fr. Buleya His Lordship Bishop Montfort Stima of Mangochi Diocese and His Grace Bishop Tarcizius Ziyaye of Lilongwe Archdiocese left the country already on 25th October and 29th October respectively.

Fr Buleya said that those that have left the country on 4th November 2014 include Bishop Joseph Zuza, who is chairing the Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) and is diocesan bishop for Mzuzu Diocese, Most Reverend Thomas Msusa of Blantyre Archdiocese, Bishop Peter Musikuwa of Chikwawa Diocese, Bishop Emmanuel Kanyama of Dedza Diocese, Bishop Martin Mtumbuka of Karonga Diocese, and himself as Secretary General).

The Secretary General also disclosed that on Thursday, 6th November the bishops will Concelebrate Mass at the tomb of St. Peter, and later on hold meetings with the Congregation for the Evangelization of People, where they will meet Cardinal Filoni, Archbishop Hon SDB and Fr. Wojda SAC.

“A possible meeting with the Holy Father is scheduled to take place on Friday, 7th and 8th November in the morning,”said Fr Buleya as he read the program.

Other important meetings that the Malawi Bishops will hold include the meeting with the Congregation for Catholic Education, Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, Pontifical Council of Justice and Peace, Supreme Tribunal of the Segnatura Apostolica and the Pontifical Council for Health Care.

These arguments are significant proof that “the teachings and principles of Jesus Christ” have not penetrated in the hearts of many fellow Malawians. My people are perishing because of ignorance about His scriptures due partly to lack of reading culture in the end times. May God help ignite in us the desire and thirty to read and understand His words and act accordingly.

If you have abusa kumpingo kwako iwe Clement and you ever call them “Reverend”, then tell me the difference with “Holy Father”! For argument’s sake, these are just titles to show dignity to the leadership of the Church. In addition, when a leader of a Church (in this case the Holy Catholic Church) speaks on issues of doctrine, he CANNOT err because we believe he speaks on behalf of God (can God err?). This last point is the one which led to the Pope being called the Holy Father, and that he is INFALLIBLE when speaking on issues of dogma/doctrine

Do not be deceived, anyone including a leader of any church is only human – flesh and blood hence can err even if they purport to speak on behalf of God. How many people claiming to be speaking on behalf of God have lead people astry. For instance the pope encourages idol worship (worship of graven images including that of Mary) no wonder this commandment was taken out in the catechism, now tell me if he cannot err!

Analyst, do not waste your breathe urguing with these idiots. Both Clement & Petulo are idiots and do not know the dogma of the church. Let them talk it wont change anything. The church is much focused, stronger, well organised than their little brains.
