MBTS must sort out its nepotism first…every head of department & deputy are from the north (you can verify it) not coz they are better but systematic corruption that starts at recruitment of staff. The treatment they give for employees from other regions is bad. That has a negative bearing on those employees who are sent to collect blood and do sensitization. They must also be innovative by bringing new approaches to blood collection and civic education, if you can analyse their blood collection system, they are still using the same approaches they started using around 2002 when MBTS was… Read more »

There are using neoliberalist approach to collect bloods of people. Yo donate free but when you get sick you are asked to buy. What a stupid capitalism.

MBTS lacks customer care service, I am a regular blood donor and O negative is my blood group, The kind of reception that i got last time i went to donate was very poor. I have donated more than 10 times. You get treated as if you are begging for something from them. No follow ups whatsoever for regular donors. I gave up. They need to improve on customer care.

Join the discussion…many many countries pay cash up front to donors, this is seen by many as a type of income, they don’t allow to give blood within a certain short time period which means the person donating the blood does not get problems themselves , but yes I myself regularly sell my blood in Saudi Arabia, we are then given tea and biscuits free of charge and thanked for the donation. I then by a nice present to take back home. everyone is happy

I also gave up for this very same reason. They forget they are the ones benefiting. Am a 7 tym donor and am O- is my blood group. Imagine am from mchinji but when they want to refund transport, they give u as if u are coming from chinsapo. Poor customer services indeed
