But the same trees are being chopped off in town on so called new chipembere highway. I am sure a better plan would have saved our trees. It is very sad that we are destroying nature.

Good works, Malawi Army and National Bank. But my heart sinks when I see the current states of Zomba and Mulanje-Mitchesi Complex. Incredible when one sees photos of these majestic mountains from as late as twenty, thirty years ago. But, let’s face it: the equation of supply and demand for our (forest) resources must be addressed; and seriously. Everyone knows that we are a small country, and we can’t make more land; and yet our population continues to grow at an unsustainable rate.
