DFID, and your fellow donors,
Stop thinking and acting on behalf of Malawians. Whose priority are you going to spend this K18 billion?

Thanks DFID and Britain. Our country cannot develop without empowering women and girls but also fighting gender based violence.

DFID tell us whom did you consult? is this driven by Ministry of Gender Malawi or by London? Who will manage these resources on behalf of Malawians? How shall we monitor results? many questions before you roll out. Development aid without country ownership is a joke to malawians.

Empower this country to move out of poverty. You donors all you need is a way to help us boost our economy. This will create more opportunities including those for ladies and very few people will bully them. As it is you are fighting systemic symptoms which we can fight on our own given robust systems are already in place. Why are you interested too much in soft issues? Help us create energy, attract companies, improve productivity and we see whether we can t do that ourselves.
