I wonder why this media indicated the laying of wreath by Chinese Ambassador as strange. This is normal but I would like to Congratulate the two leaders Peter and Lazarous for the tribute. This shows solidality of our nation and this must continue. Bickering will not take us anywhere let us all be united to develop our country and revive our tumbled economic situation.

China has always been recognised during previous functions . But I don’t think anyone would fault the APM Administration if it started to give special recognition to China whenever and wherever necessary. China has been a true friend to Malawi in the short period we have had diplomatic relations with Mainland China .

Even if Malawi gives China 90 percent recognition against 10 percent for Britain. It wont be bad at all. We are tired with Britain’s support which is always attached to million strings. Lets recognize China beyond that. China is our main donor, friend, partner in development. Lets form a very serious relationship with China, first of its kind whereby Malawian men will be be able to exchange wives with Chinese men. Hahahaha I am enjoying downtown here.

You Nyasatimes

What is your problem? China has always attended these ceremonies and has always been represented and laid wreaths since Malawi established diplomatic relations with Mainland China. Before that it was Taiwan which also attended these events. What is your point in bringing this story? We know your hidden agenda on this.

It was indeed a special recognition when I observed that Chinese ambassador was accorded separately while Britain was given the same time with south Africa. Bravo China! The British have that feeling of saying we have been helping Malawi since independence while for us, what we are counting is who is helping us now. China we are solely behind you in everything even if you may want to persuade your agenda of being super power. We are with you in any water depth.
