Mr Kamlepo Kalua says he knows the names of the 7 cabinet ministers implicated in the audit report.Understandably, the MP doesnot want to reveal the names for fear of legal implications. Why can’t Kalua take advantage of his parliamentary immunity preveledge and reveal the names in the August house during the next seating of parliament?

African leaders cling to power with all their might so that they can continue filling their own pockets and hide the crimes they have committed. Why would any leader resign? They would risk too much.

Thom I always respect you as a prolific writer. I hope you always read the Nyasa Times and for a long time you have been reading the posts on THE 7 MINISTERS. I expected you to come with the names of the seven ministers not this shit you are telling us in this article. Don’t you know that what people need to know is the names of these ministers. We need the names and how they accessed the billions. You are asking the president to fire the ministers which he does not know? Are these ministers spritual beings living in… Read more »

santana Iwedi ndiye ndiwe “Satana” weniweni owombera mfiti mmanja. Do you think it is the duty of Thom to release the names? The ACB has acknowledged receipt of 13 files from the Auditor General. Do you, in your stupidity, believe the 13 files do not have names? And in your, “dunderheadness”, do you believe the president does not have the copies of the files involving such a high profile issue? You are very stupid, too dull, empty headed and having 2% brain with the rest being water in your brain cavity so that you cannot think or you are just… Read more »

Mr Chiumia, you say that ‘[t]here are high expectations among Malawians and the donor and diplomatic community in Malawi that the axe will one day fall on the concerned ministers.’

Sometimes the old solutions are the best. Wouldn’t it be great if these betrayers of the nation really did feel the sharp edge of the executioner’s axe on the backs of their miserable necks?

What these politicians need is a sword of Damocles hanging by a hair over their collective heads, not the promise of impunity that they currently enjoy.

Mr. Thom ,Well done for your good piece. Just know that the K577bn audit report did not mention names of people. The other K232bn mentioned people. So make correct references. There are no revelations but romours of revelations. What we want as Malawians, help us to complete the list of Ministers otherwise our writings are based on Zammaluwa. Please help the nation if you are really patriotic. Tikufuna Demo yathu should be based on real facts not speculations. It should be evidence based kuti tikamamuchotsa pitala asaname kuti sakudziwa our problems. Here is the List 1. George Chaponda, 2. Goodall… Read more »
