The Malawi Law Society should be the last to censure others! In fact it is so rotten it should not be given a platform to be censuring others when it has never censured its wayward, fornicating, thieving, murdering, adultering, dull and stupid members!
Hon. Chaponda may have a case to answer due to the role he played in maize procurement. However, there is also some sense in Chaponda’s sentiments that there are regionalist/tribalistic elements or partisan politics in this. We have tractorgate which involved politicians and government officials from all parties and regions. Why are the CSOs quiet on this??? This is utter hypocrisy.

The statement of this maizegate man regarding regions on this open issue is very shameful,it is true that a thief will never feel guilty conscious on any wrong doings. Chaponda is too corrupt n a big thief,look how he has managed to convice some stupid pple to put his office on fire in order to destroy evidence. It is now our humble prayer to ACB to probe him so that he shld face the law as was the case with the then min.of education mr Sam mpasu on field york case.
MLS, this press release could have best been issued by the president or vice secretary, r anyone else. This Soko guy has been listed as a consultant to the parliamentary inquiry in its report, which shows a clear case of conflict of interest!! By this, I don’t mean to say that the substance of the press release is irrelevant. But coming from someone who benefitted from the inquiry, it becomes problematic
