The impact of Cashgate is crosscutting; it affects the country’s image, its finances, development finances, relations with the international community and the daily lives of the average citizen. An issue of such importance must indeed be handled transparently and on a bipartisan basis. I wish an Independent Tribunal or Commission would be established to handle all matters relating to Cashgate in much the same way that there is An Independent Election Commission. The long time it has taken for to act will not piblicise the correct figure on its expenses. If is it the same government which is looking at the cashgate in parts then it raises doubts that it will correctly come up with the expenditure as incurred. There shall be another cash gate in the cashgate. In JB’s time and Bingu’s.
