The broadcasting regulator, the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (Macra) has renewed the contract of its Director General Charles Nsaliwa.

Information Minister Moses Kunkuyu confirmed to Nyasa Times on Thursday that President Mrs. Joyce Banda has approved the contract renewal.

“I can confirm that Mr. Charles Nsaliwa contract as Director General of MACRA has indeed been renewed for another 3 years,” Kunkuyu told Nyasa Times.

“This decision was reached after the Board of MACRA did their evaluation of Mr. Nsaliwa and recommended that his contract be renewed,” he said.
