Bushiri should sell everything he has & distribute the proceeds to the poor as scriptures said ‘it is easy for a camel to go thru the whole of a needle than for a rich man to go to heaven’. Where does ur man stand? After all the owner of the gospel he says he stand for never participated in politics..where do u stand my friend?

When it comes to money, our MPs they speak the same language.am afraid there is alot that needs change. An increase in constiuency development fund and now this.

The truth is that our members of parliament are not responsible, selfish minded creatures. Ma allowance mukutenga ochuluka koma kuzokambirana simukupezekako. A big shame

The decision to increase the daily allowances is equally valid but the amount must be based on auditable basis. My suggestion is we take what it takes to spend a night at a hotel and also the cost spend at a decent lodge for a night. The average of the two could be reasonable. I find K80,000 per day on the lower side. I don’t want to see our Honourable MPs going to… Read more »

MPs should only accept below or par inflation salary increments. 10% is above-inflation increment therefore should be revised downwards. However, we all know that MPs are in parliament not for the love of its people but rather for selfish reasons. They’re there to align their pockets. Don’t be fooled…..they can’t be investing large of money on campaigns and not get a return on their investments. Malawi politics is big business. The richest people in Malawi are in politics. You go figure!
