You are a cheat Kasakula. People are known by their label. It is the policies of MCP which are harsh and undemocratic. You cannot say the party has changed when you can clearly see what Chakwera is doing to senior members of the party. Chakwera was once a man of God but this time even the look of his face has changed to demonic appearance. Kasakula is feeling the pains because he has tried his best through his papers to portray MCP as a changed party but Malawians have said no and will still say no in every general election.… Read more »

Kasakula stinks. And MCP makes me vomit especially when I recall how cruel it was (and I believe it still is) to innocent people of MW.

We lived in perpetual fear as if this was not our country, our home.

If you were born later than 1990, you dont know MCP. These MCP people do not have a heart at all and they kill like hell…..just like what nyau does.

Just take another look at the face of Chakwera. Do you really see peace and love?

I do concur with Mr Kasakula, MCP shouldn’t be blamed or being stigmatized for what happened in the past. Malawians it’s time we have to stand up and rebuke these leaders who use mcp to staying in power. When Banda was leaving the government he congratulated Mr Bakili Muluzi even before the votes ended counting. In his last speech as the state president of malawi Dr Banda welcomed all investigation the new government could render on him. He stated it clearly that he couldn’t remember even a single day authorising any killing of someone. It is very sad that the… Read more »

Bwana Kasakula, what do you mean by new MCP leadership? Are you trying to imply that the old leadership of MCP which comprised of Kamuzu, Tembo and a few other less influential individuals was responsible for the past MCP atrocities?
The institution has not changed; they use the same colours, Tambala wakuda as their symbol, kwacha as their slogan and atrocities as their trademark.
Hence Malawians must be warned by reminding them about the dark past of MCP.

Hatton be serious! Was it the leadership then or MCP colours, Tambala wakuda, and kwacha slogan that were behind the past MCP record of atrocities? Can you ably site some the issues you have with any of the guys in the current crop of MCP? I take whatever you are saying as either shallow thinking (if I may use that term), or you are one of the people who hate those in MCP for being in that party alone!! Sincerely, which party is clean Hatton? Do you need to be told what these other parties have done before? Hatton your… Read more »

Hatton, That is narrow thinking. Only the youth who are daft and dunderheads can buy this crap. I don’t see any reason why a sane youthful intellectual can be convinced to hate people in a political party half of whose old leadership is dead.

I agree with Kasakula partially however the embarrassing story of MCP past must be told to the new generation. Moses did just that to lsrael to create awareness of the past.Kamuzu Banda kept on reapiting on how and why he broke the stupid Federation.. People must be informed. That is part of our history. Those who found that conduct and practice bad renounced it repented and left such as Muluzi, Ntaba, Dausi and many other’s.Humans have a tendency of forgetting their past.

The new generation has to know the embarrassing story of DPP, the masked DPP who killed the Chasowas, Njauju’s, Grace Chinga in this 21st century. I was born in 1994 when UDF was ruling party and Matafale was slaughtered, Bingu slaughtered 21 young men of our generation under DPP. So its DPP we the new generation hate so much. To us MCP is clean. Again we are told that the Ntabas, Dausis are the ones who were in the bad MCP and are now all in DPP. So to hell DPP. We will ambush you next year

In fact it was Ntaba who vehemently fought against multi-politics in Malawi. I still remember when Ntaba trotted all Unima campuses between 1992 and 1993 as the nation moved towards Referendum trying to convince university stydents that multi-party was a bad system of political governance. On the other side representing Nyali was Dr. Cassim Chilumpha who boldly challenged Ntaba and his then atrocious MCP. After losing both referendum and general elections in 193 and 1994 respectively, Ntaba saw some personal benefits from the very political system that he despised. And Dausi was among the most notorious kayombe [(Malawi Young Pioneers,… Read more »

The new generation already knows DPP story because they live in it. But they never lived in MCP story, hence the need to tell the MCP story for the sake of the new generation to make an informed electoral decision. Wmvetsa tsopano?

We are being led by fools who can even shoot themselves on the foot without knowing it ; do they really know the meaning of the words : past, present, or future? Even if the mcp of today is the continuation of the old one then what is the fruit got to do with the tree whose roots you claim cracked your house? FOOOOLS!

Martin, you are a genius. I have learned a rare piece of wisdom in your simple posting. I hope some DPP leaders are reading these postings. Find a better campaign strategy. Private radio stations are ready to air tarnishing messages about DPP come 2019. MACRA will not be respected because we know that Itaye belongs to DPP and is doing nothing to regulate DPP/MBC radio and TV.

Kasakula could have known that parties that commit atrocities are either banned or they die naturally. This was the case with NAZI party, Fascist party, and many more from Africa. MCP is not supposed to be alive. These people if they are clean are supposed to form another party. By continuing with MCP they’re acting on behalf of their predecessors. Ntaba and Dausi quitted MCP for this reason. So too with Chair. And if Kasakula is indeed a professional journalist mention atrocities that Ntaba and Dausi committed whilst in MCP. You are writing is blank. You are just assuming. I… Read more »

Tenzi Mzungu or whatever your name is: The fact remains those that committed the atrocities in MCP are now in DPP and you can not refute this. This is why DPP massacred 20 people in July 2011. Ntaba and Dausi can not claim to have clean hand just because they are now in dpp. You remember the death of Robert Chasowa? How about Njaunju? and those massacred in July 2011? Were all these killed during MCP rule or DPP? What do you mean by saying we southerners? is Nsanje not in the south where the same MCP managed to win… Read more »

Tenzi, as per your last sentence, I for one agree and if you may allow it take your writings as nonsense guided by hatred and malice!!

Iwe why should DPP continue operating when it has a record of killing 20 people just at once in Mzuzu, Njauju, Chisowa etc? Why are you too selective? Take this my friend, nobody under the sun can claim to be perfect or righteous, the Bible says!!

I am a Southerner. From Nsanje in Particular. The development of MCP was unselective. Thats why MCP managed to lay all that infrastructure nation wide. DPP is very selective, LUANAR is built on someone’s plot, a useless bitumen road being built from Goliati to Luchenza. DPP has used southerners as condoms going into pals then enrich one tribe there after. The days of dreaming are over, we the senas just surprised you with one seat to MCP during the just passed by elections. We are in for the massive surprise come 2019… DPP is too arrogant thanks to the advise… Read more »
