I am not a supporter of DPP and Mutharika but from what has been reported its clear it was just some robbers and the reason that there was no police guard is the reason they pounced that night. Professional assasins do not operate that way. Anybody can be attacked and i sympathise with Rev Chakwera and his family but for him to politicise this incident is not only petty but very low for a person of his calibre. The more the Reverend makes noise, the less we take him serious day by day.

The attackers could be thugs ranging from “ordinary” criminals to disgruntled MCP cadres or former members of o’Chakwera’s followers, in the Church, with an ax to grind. The Police investigators would be amiss to ignore various channels and zero in on Politics.
