Malawi Pastor plants new church in Bolton, England

The Rock International Worship Ministries founded by Malawi-born British Pastor Richard Tembo and his wife Priscilla has planted their first church in Bolton, Lancashire in the North West of England.

The first service of worship of the church was held on Sunday 23rd June, 2013 on a rented premises which has been specially redecorated at Hartford Court West on Weston Street, BL3 2AW next a mile away from Bolton Railway Station.

“I am encouraged to see a good number of people attending this [our] service and we thank God for such a territory breaking meeting. We give glory to God and praise Him for the people who gave their lives to Jesus Christ on this first meeting.” said Pastor Richard Tembo after the meeting.

Tembo said: “I am so happy I have responded to the call of God in my life to plant His church in this town and very much appreciate my wife and children for their much valued support.”

He said the church is “truly international”.

Said he: “Already on the first service we have seen about seven nations represented. We are looking forward to creating a relaxed atmosphere where we expect the presence of God to manifest as we join together in a vibrant praise and worship and hear anointed and inspirational teaching and preaching of the Word of God in power and authority”.

He added: “My greatest desire is that many people, young and old from all backgrounds will be saved and that God will confirm His word with signs and miracles.”

Pastor Tembo said his church welcomes everyone for services of worship on Sundays at 2:00pm (which will be changed in future to morning services).

He disclosed that Bible studies and special ministry will be held on Saturday mornings “to help us nurture new Christians.”

Special prayer meetings will be held during the week on Wednesdays starting in July 2013.

The church’s motto is “In His Presence” as we seek to usher people into operating in His presence in their everyday lives.
