Malawi Queens beat Wales, to face South Africa in play-offs: Netball World Cup 2015

Malawi Queens who failed to seal the semi-finals slot after narrowly losing by one goal to Jamaica, on Saturday vented their anger on Wales by beating them 71-52 at the Netball World Cup play-off match.

The sides were tied 29-29 at half-time but Wales failed to stay in touch with Malawi Queens , who are two places above them in the world rankings.

Malawi will face South Africa in the 5th/6th place play-off match.

Peace Chawinga- Kalua, head coach for Malawi Queens, said from Sydney  that the game against South Africa will be a “blood bath”.

“We are facing our rivals and so much on stake in that game,” said Peace.

“But God is great we will do wonders,” she added.

At stake is the fifth position in the world as well as champions of Africa.

The final will be between Australia and New Zealand, with England facing Jamaica in the bronze medal match, all to be played on Sunday.

K100000 is peanut. Peanuts are for monkeys . PAY the girls good money. Government give the girls each one million kwacha. That is also very little if you compare with the money being stolen in government offices. Give them one million each. Kusayamika zabwino bwanji
