Malawi Queens fall to SA in finals of Netball Diamond Challenge
Malawi national netball team, the Queens, on Saturday lost to rivals South Africa 43-47 in the inaugural Netball Diamond Challenge final match in Pretoria.
Playing on Friday, Malawi defeated South Africa in their last robbing round match.
But the final match on Saturday was tough that both teams fought neck-to-neck.
To win the Netball Diamond Challenge roubin round phase, Malawi beat Zambia and Botswana before thrashing South Africa in their unbeaten run.
Malawi are ranked fifth in the world rankings, one step higher than South Africa.
