I dont believe this. This country has no infrastructure for tourism. Construct road networks along the Lake, build amusement parks, five star hotels, malls etc in order to excite the tourists first, then you can talk about Malawi being a tourist destination.

Doctors are very important in the country. so too are teachers. I am 50 years old: 1. I have never consulted any lawyer in my life; may be anyakwawa(village headman) . Lawyers are required only in times you need their servise or to help solving legal/equity matters 2. I have been sick and have visited the Doctor ( + herbal doctors) for roughly more than 150 times in my Life. congratulating tourism and netball in Malawi for putting Malawi recognized at Worldwide. Agriculture must pull up its socks we are far, we should rather be exporting our farm produce and not importing . Judiciary: lawyers are too expensive that they can not represent an ordinary Malawian but chikhalirecho iye adaphunzira sukulu yaulele and govt subsidized his fees at the university. too expensive/ chiletso/ self enrichment costs; shame ; just exploiting Malawians. Govnt needs to come in to standardize all legal costs. Who will then protect the people from being defrauded by lawyers.

Can government invest in a skyline cable car project that will make access to mulanje mountain chambe plateau easy. Many people would patronize such an investment going up using cable cars to see the spectacular views from the top. This is one way of bringing revenue to the gov.coffers.

It may be easier to attract tourists if the visa fee was lowered to the fee assured by Zambia, $50 instead of $75. This as up to quite some more for a family. Why should they choose Malawi instead of Zambia or Tanzania then?

Congrats Malawi. Tourism and netball are two biggest things Malawi is making great strides. This good news must motivate every good willed Malawian to a be a positive ambassador to the world out there. At least, there is something positive today as far as world rankings are concerned. Kudos, kudos, kudos ! Keep it up Malawi!!!
