Establishing a university where only the program of law is offered will open greater opportunity to so many students who aspire to become lawyers and reduce the lawyer–client ratio in Malawi. This idea is by far the best for Malawi to solve the problem of shortage of lawyers. Chitimbe there is no such an institution in the world as university of law. Law is usually part of the whole university system – if you like you may call it a department or better still Law school. Muzilankhula ngati munapitako ku sukulu.
This chronic disease that everything must be provided by Government! We know theach reason is nothing else but holding the agenda of pushing Government for cheap if not free meals at its universities!
My friend Chitimbe your idea is impractical. Let other universities offer law degrees such as Mzuni, Catholic University and even MIM . We should not overburden government
The Malawi govt. must build a public university of law to increase the number of lawyers for Malawi just as it did with medical doctors and teachers.
