Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has said it will book a friendly  match for the Flames before their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Namibia on June 5.

FAM’s CEO Suzgo Nyirenda said the Flames would play one friendly match  on May 25 or May 26.

Caretaker coach Eddington Ng’onamo had proposed friendlies in Zimbabwe and Zambia.

“We are looking at one of the Cosafa countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia and Swaziland,” Nyirenda said.

Malawi face Namibia on June 5 before taking on Kenya on June 12 and later rounding up their 2014 World Cup qualifiers  with a trip to Nigeria.

The Flames are second in their group on goals difference behind leaders, Nigeria with five points but ahead of Namibia and Kenya with three and two points respectively.
