Malawi top league player dies during training
Malawian player Noel Mlelemba who was playing for top league military team Airborne Rangers has died after collapsing during military team’s training.
According to Malawi Defence Force spokesperson Lt Francis Kakhuta Banda Mlelemba confirmed.
The former Epac United captain was pronounced dead on arrival at Malawi Armed Forces College Hospital.
“MDF is deeply shocked and saddened by the death of Mlelemba. He was a dedicated and hardworking soldier as well as a key player for Airbone Rangers,’ said Lt Kakhuta Banda.
Tsanzo Dalio who played alongside the deceased at Epac described Mlelemba as huge loss.
He has gone too soon. He was a model to young footballers and we have lost a talented player,’ Dalio said.
Former Epac United General Secretary Roy Mdechi said he was shocked by the death of Mlelemba.
“The soccer fraternity has lost a good player and his services will be greatly missed,” Mdechi said.
The late Mlelemba played for Bucks United before joining Epac where he went on to become the team’s captain.

May his soul rest in peace. That is conditional though. Let this be a wake up call that anything can happen anytime we should make peace with God. Try as much as possible to live a godly life pleasing to God. Avoid wanton life sex beer stealing get rich schemes cheating etc.
