The Junior Flames have been drawn  in Group B against Madagascar and neighbouring Zambia and Mozambique.  Group B comprises of hosts Mauritius, South Africa, Namibia and Seychelles.

Top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals where winner of Group A will face runners up of Group B while winners of Group B will face runners up of Group A.

According to Fam General Secretary Suzgo Nyirenda, the team starts camping next week.

Nyirenda said at the meantime, Fam Technical Director John Kaputa is working on the Technical Panel.

“As Fam we confirmed our participation having stayed for two years without playing international football at under 17 level. We are now working on the budget while the Technical Director Captain John Kaputa is finalising on the Technical Panel,” said Nyirenda.

He said the squad has been assembled from Junior leagues like FMB under 20, Fifa Under 15, Copa Coca Cola and Airtel Rising Star.

The Junior Flames only won the Cosafa Competition once in 2011.
