Dr Chilima is very right. One day the nation shall be cast into a mourning mode if these illegal structures are left unchecked. For the past 4 years I have dwelled here on the other side of the river I have noticed increased levels of water in the river every succeeding year being the worst.Surely City should check the papers for the landlords and take them to task before things are off hand

Pano munthu amene anpatsitsidwa plot ya chinyengo ndi City Council official amene ali wa boma lolamula, nyumba yake igwetsedwe. Official amene anapeleka plotyo ali pheee mu office mwake.

We seem to be a bunch unintelligent leaders. Why only come up with plans when disaster strikes. Mr Vice President go and tell your town planners and building inspectors they are getting paid for doing absolutely nothing. I don’t know why we have them. What a nation we have. We build without thinking of the future and as long as we have structures no one cares. Isn’t it foolish to advise people when they have lost all their belongings. Who are the town Engineers in Malawi? Give contracts to companies with capacities then we will have buildings that will last… Read more »
