Malawian model wins two medals in South Africa: Chancy Chirwa

Chancy Chirwa, a Malawian model, received two medals after being chosen the best dressed up man and last man standing on paintball during the Mr Port Elizabeth ( Mr PE) last weekend at Board Walk Hotel in South Africa.

Chirwa also put Malawi on the map as he made it in top 12 from 51 participants.

The Malawian model will also be working with the top 3 in Mr PE as ambassador of the city.

The South African based model, who made history by becoming the first foreigner to take part in the Mr PE competition told Nyasa Times that he dedicate his awards to the nation.

“For me this is an honour and it feels good that l made it that far. Being the only foreigner it makes me feel more proud because it means Malawi was well presented. I can tell you that people could not believe that lam a Malawian,” said Chirwa, who runs shops in the rainbow nation dealing with African arts, craft and clothing.

So far, Chirwa have worked with Star Lounge  that promote celebrity perfumes like Nicki Minaj and justin bibeber just to mention a few.

His first television advert was an international one which is being viewed in all sub saharan african countries plus Malawi Get Bucks TV AD.

Chirwa’s mother is from Rumphi while his father hails from Nkhata Bay.

He did his primary education at kaufulu primary school before going to Falls secondary in Lilongwe and studied Accounting with Skyway Business College. In 1992, he moved to South Africa, where he resides.

Chirwa ventured into Modeling and acting  early in February this year this year as a freelancer before being signed by Extreme models and Looks International modeling agency in March.
