They start feeding them drugs whilst still young to create a sustainable market. I think you need to talk to people in Lilongwe suburbs to understand how deep the drug problem is. It’s altrady destroying families.
This only shows that Malawi has weak laws. The problem is that senior army, police, government and politicians are on drugs lords payroll. If you can do a simple survey of schools which are in the surroundings of Area 47 thus Areas 18, 15 and 49 you will notice that most children are into drugs because of these Nigerians yet the government is paying a blind eye to all these issues because of money exchanging hands. And where are we with the drung syndicate case of August 2017 involving that Nigerian caught at KIA (Christian Osingweleni) who was using Madam Lusungu Mlenga and Madam Rita Juma and hid the drugs in a coffee table? We need to see progress if we have to be seen to be serious about the fight against this drug business. Can the Director of Public Prosecutions take over the case from Police please?

Learned Fellow: how are we going to improve issues if we dont have a just legal system? one that is not influenced by MPs, foreigners? bills need to be passed and the Malawian government does not accept what they feel like they won’t benefit from. This is very sad for the youth to be used in such kind of ventures. I think it is possible that the young man was killed by the drug dealers in Brazil in collaboration with their Malawian based Nigerian counterparts with the aim of using the corpse to transport several kilos of drugs which wouldn’t have been possible with the boy carrying while alive. They can load and embalm the body.
