This is very good. At least “aMalawi tiziyamba ndifeyo” other than wholly relying on well-wishers from overseas. This is a sign that we care and are growing in maturity. Well done aMalawi anzathu in Kenya and those in South Africa. I only hope that such well meaning assistance does not end in houses of officials at Capital Hill and Local Councils. Malawians appear to have a knack for “kusolora” in each and every initiative. Chonde let’s not discourage the would-be philanthropists with our unsatiable thieving.

This is the way how our Envoys should conduct themselves, if these were Malawians in Japan the headlines should have read “The Malawi Ambassador to Japan has organized donations for flood victims”. Well done Major General Chirwa!
