Malawi’s comedian Izeki death confirmed

Malawi’s celebrated comedian John Nyanga popularly known by his stage name Izeki has died— his stage longtime partner Eric Mabedi in Izeki ndi Jakobo two-man skit  has confirmed.

Izeki has died while receiving treatment at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.

“It is with great sorrow that I confirm the death of my very good friend, John Nyanga,” said devastated Mabedi.

“Izeko was a great actor, he had a long and distinguished acting  career,” Mabedi said.

Apart from entertaining people through comedy, Nyanga was also a founder of the Ndirande-based Synagogue for Hope where he is popularly known as Prophet Z.

He also was a presenter of Kalibu talk show on Joy Radio.
