This is a racist story that leaves out the role of the local ruling class in extorting surplus value from the population. It does not matter if one is be stolen by the local rulers or international rulers. We need more equality in the economy in general, not something with xenophobia. Malawians have suffered xenophobia in SA, we should not promote it here. Nyasatimes is too good a publication to lend itself to racist stories.
