Can someone tell me where Chilima is getting all the monies to bankroll his campaign with all these movement cloths, caps, t-shirts, etc etc?? If you know how much his salary is how possible is he spending like this and yet this is not campaign period. How much gonna he spend for the next 9 months? All these monies you want to tell me are his monies? Am not foolish to be hoodwinked to believe this young man is clean!!! I strongly believe he did not get enough from the corrupt earnings and now is a disgrunrled lot . Period!

Corruption in Malawi is so pervasive that it’s now become a subculture. The only way we can wipe it out is by eliminating all current politicians to the peripheral and bring in new blood (we need a dialysis political machine). The best approach is to charge and lock up all DPP leaders and go down the chain in earnest……one by one. If they don’t care about the nation then why should we care about them. They’re the killers of the nation and if we don’t deal with them Malawi will be gone in 2 years time.

Be advised that corruption is not perpetrated by DPP only. There is a lot of corruption going in in other parties, social and business organizations as well. Both vertical and horizontal poverty levels breed corruption in our societies. This is so because both the provider of services and the receiver of those services have a common agenda – earn enough to afford a comfortable living. Any wonder why there are so many political parties in Malawi when two or three major parties would do? The agenda has never been to serve Malawians. No wonder a former president once remarked that… Read more »

Chilima is getting paid without working, is that not corruption. He claims he is following the constitution to stay put for 5 years. Chilima should be the last person to talk about corruption.

who told you he is not working, he goes to office. Accuse those who are not giving him work. And do you know the definition of corruption. If the government thinks he is not working why do they pay him? they pay him for what?

Corporate governance speaks much about the promotion of whistle blowing if we are to defeat or eliminate corruption and fraud…..but in Malawi its a different story, much if we are to talk about the Minor DDP government……when the issue of k145,000,000.00 broke out and this is where people were expecting that government would applaud and cheer the whistle blower but it was contrary as the government was at forefront saying they will hire a foreign expert to investigate about the whistle blower……yet they are saying they are committed to fight the corruption…shame DPP party of thieves.

Spot on your Excellency!
DPP top gurus are literally competing who has stolen the most.
They initiate ‘developmental projects’ for the sole purpose to steal.. Give constracts to crooked Indians to LOOT state coffers then share the spoils.
Imagine what are we telling Controlling Officers ie CEOs of parastatals, DCs? That it is okay to receive ‘DONATIONS’ from a supplier who has won a tender with your institution. If this is NOT BLATANT CORRUPTION, what is then?
SHAME!!!

Our leaders the ones involved in corruption, all the want is to make themselves rich. We as Malawians need to work together and vote out the current government because they are the ones perpetuating corruption. May God help us have leaders that are really patriotic!!! May we make a wise choose in may 2019, may God show as a way on who the best candidate is that can bring change.. i personally think Chakwera can make a difference. UTM IS promising but i have my doubts

Sadly, this government instead of fighting corruption our leaders are fully involved in corruption.

Who has noticed that the guy behind the white guy shaking hands with Chilima looks like Emmerson Mnangagwa and the next one behind this Mnangagwa lookalike looks like the late Morgan Tsvangirai?
