Marvellous Deeds: (L)Weston Chipwaila-(C)-Abel Sanena(R)-Francis phiri

The music group which consists of the trio; Abel Sanena, Francis Phiri and Weston Chipwailaconfirmed to Malawi News Agency about their second coming in the music industry.

“It has been a long time since the release of the third album in 2013. But we are now back with this fourth albumwhich has songs with motivating and inspiring messages intended to change people’s lives,” hesaid.

Sanena added that the new album has 10 tracks which include;‘Ndiyambirenso’, ‘Akupangazaine’,‘Fulumirani’ and ‘Lerolangasimawa.’

He said the album, which is set for release next month, has also a songaddressing issuesof injustices against people living with albinism. The song titled ‘Nawoamafunamoyo’has featured gospel greats Kamuzu Barracks and EvanceMeleka.

“Abductions and killings of people with albinism are still rampant. So we thought it wise to compose a track addressing their predicament,” Sanena said.

The group first graced the music scene in 2005 with 10 track album titled‘Matamando’which had a hit song ‘Andigwirendani’.However, the album fared poorly on the market with its distribution limited to fellow church members.

It took four years for the group to bounce back with a second album and decided to take music as a career in 2009 when they dropped a hit song titled ‘Mfumumukhale.’

Along the way, the group released a third album in July 2013 titled ‘Sanathanenane’ with a hit song titled ‘Chimwemwechanga’.

According to Sanena, the group is hopeful that the new album will receive a positive response from the general public.

“It is a very unique album considering the improvements on the songs and the collaboration we have done. For instance, the track ‘back to sender’ is enjoying more air play in many radio stations,” he said.
