The article just gives credit where it is due. I do not think it suggests that Noel has to go un-opposed. The term of office seems to me too short. That could be the underlining thing for a lazy mayor just to sit and relax while counting down the days to exit. We have to look into that. Why must I not register my appreciation to our Mayor cum lawyer, Noel, for the great work. Blantyre is mostly a clean city again. Majumbo ku Lilongwe!

The connotation in the tone of this article almost implies that Noel’s position need not go to a vote, but that he should continue unopposed. This brings us back to undemocratic tendencies. Let the people choose him again for the good job he has done.
