This is a real pitiful situation. MCP have lost this election due to their own undoing. Four months ago, they were winning hands down, especially considering that Mia is taking the whole Lower Shire by storm. I have a suggestion to make, if MCP is going to get anything out of this. TALK to UTM (you basic policies and principles are almost 90% similar). You may still get MCP agenda into government by partnering with UTM. MCP are serial losers; and they don’t know why because because they never undertake serious reflection or postmortem analysis.
It’s almost as if MCP are HAPPY to be in opposition for ever. Like, they can”t justify getting back into government since their founder, Kamuzu Banda, messed us up, variously, the way he did.
MCP primaries are really chaotic due to corruption by some officials. Officials clearly support a candidate after pocketing some cash. More independent candidate will be from MCP in 2019. Love for money too much
