How on earth is MCP allowing Mia to do this? Is it only me who is seeing a man who is power-hungry and bent on overshadowing Chakwera. MCP is in deep trouble with this charlatan.

Mia is big headed. He is overtaking Chakwera by posing as if he is MCP president, establishing a website that solicits money when MCP website does not do so.

Koma a Malawi umbuli ndiye ulipo. If umbuli was a currency then Malawi would have been the richest country in the world. judging from many of the comments below it’s clear that many a Malawians don’t understand that the world has moved from the dark Kamuzu ages to a new digital era where communication is driven by social media tools. Whether you like or support Mia or not, he is just demonstrating that he is moving with times to reach out to and engage with people. It’s a big gamble he has taken given that we still have so many… Read more »

The idea of the website is not wrong – its progressive but what is wrong is Mia’s subtle attempt to portray himself as the leader of MCP. The idea of ‘Visionary Leadeer’ is as if he is the one on the ballot. If Mia is supposed to be ‘THE visionary leader’ what type of leader is Chakwera. If you look at how he has packaged the website, you will see that there is an obvious disregard of the fact that he is vice president. With this attitude, it is just a matter of time that Chakwera and MCP will be… Read more »

It’s called strategy Mawa. If MCP leadership is sleeping then that’s their problem. It could be that that’s what MCP or Chakwera has approved for Mia to position himself as leader and “torch bearer”. We as electrorate will vote for party torch bearers and the political parties

I have seen the website but I would advise that some menus and features should be removed and be added to the official website of MCP. These other menus cannot be on a personal website like his. For instance his website has a an option for making donations while MCP website does not have that option. While this is a welcome development but I would advise Mr. Mia to remember he is not MCP. This is his personal website as a politician belonging to MCP. Please take heed of this advice and make necessary adjustments.

Good advice right there. It is however okay for a politician to take donations so the Donate Tab can stay there. What’s more important, as you have rightly said, is for the MCP site to also have its own DONATE tab, if they want to that is.
