The issue here is not summonanga Chilima no but for MEC to explain to the nation why electoral registration gadgets are found in Mozambique????? If there is anyone to be summoned here is Dr Jane Annsah. NOT Chilima cos Chilima just mentioned the obvious. And if anyonse was not taking Chilima serious then it’s about time to start to take whatever he says seriously.
I though MEC said that they will not work with UTM until the party is registered. Then why is the same MEC summoning Dr Saulosi Klaus Chilima?

Chilima is under obligation by law to report any illegal and unlawful activities he is aware of especially that he is VP; otherwise he is complicit. We can’t afford senior govt and political party officials looking the other way when the law of the land is being trampled upon by its citizens no matter their standing. Chilima should substantiate his claims and disclose all that he knows even if it implicates him. If thats the case he should become a state witness and be protected by law.
the Government should bring together all parties involved in elections including MEC, so that both parties should pertition their worries about the fourth coming general elections. Later on , the Government can realese a statement based on assessment as to whether the elections will be credible or not.. If the MEC didnot handle registration properly, another team of MEC commissioners should be deployed to do fresh biometric registration ..

MEC is now trying to find scape goat for their incompetence. MEC has been failing Malawi big time. In 2014 MEC allowed the DPP to have their parallel tally centre , they hacked the system until now no recount because they know who won the elections. Some of the DPP strategists were in Mozambique during that night of vote count doing the dubious landslide. Now you know someone knows the trick. MEC is incompetent and bias. They should resign.
