The Constitution of The Republic of Malawi is outdated. To avoid issues like these I have always theorized of having a Vice President who serves as prime minister by law. Our current constitution is very vague on the power and role of the Vice President the only certain thing about that office is the fact that is provides a safeguard to stop Malawi from having a power vacuum in the event the the president is incapacitated to continue ruling the country.
