Despite her loud mouth, this is the only minister in the DPP led Govt who I feel is active and always engaging. Thus Democracy, not these other ministers whom you cant remember last time they engaged other stakeholders in their line of duties. Keep it up, Madam Kaliati as you strive for solutions to our probs.

The Ministry of Civic Education, Culture & Community Development seems to be a portfolio for which Minister Kaliati has sincere concern. If she can turn her concerns into policies, and her policies into practical government programs and projects, I am hopeful that she will strengthen our democratic structures and processes.

At a time when transgender people are still largely unaccepted by our population, it is heartening to see how willing we are to embrace a member of the trans-racial community. I now call upon all white-to-black people to come out of the closet and reveal themselves to us, perhaps even stand for election in 2019. Already, people are wondering who will be more acceptable in positions of power – white-skinned Blacks or black-skinned Whites?
