“Government is in the process of developing a plan”. This is slow, slow, slow. After three years in government the plan should have been implemented by now. This government is not implementing anything, it only is in the process of developing, no doubt in luxurious resorts with luxurious allowances. This is not governance, this is spending our tax money on nothing.
Dear Minister: I would like to inform you that the biggest problem with Malawi is that Land is being allocated or sold to people who have no intention to develop it: – 1. A good example is the sale of plots by Airport Development Limited in Lumbadzi in Lilongwe. More than one Plot were allocated to people with no plans and who had offered peanuts i.e. MK250,000 for both low density and high density plots leaving out those who had MK1,000,000 and above. 2. This is very true. And to add my voice to it, the Government should have a proper plan for specific area. You watch people start building residential houses, only to come later to tell them that the location is not for residential houses, mumakhala muli kuti when the land is being sold? Those who express interest in buying land in prime locations should be presenting 6 months bank statement to show there is proper flow of funds in their bank accounts, ena akumagulira amwenye.
