Bakili style of leadership. Bakili was bringing trucks full of maize as if he had come to distribute them and he took them away. It is this ”we don’t care” syndrome that has made MCP stay in the opposition for 23 years. A party which is serious to take government should worry with the speed of defections from the party. Where are the youth to shake up Malawi politics. Why are the youth not taking up their role in society by being active in politics so that they lift Malawi to a global stage. Malawi should no longer be ruled and led by old and recycled politicians but rather those that represent this young country (73% of Malawi population is below 30 years).
