This is like a metaphor for the political situation in our country. Not long ago Malawi used to have around 63,000 credible and potential political leaders in our midst; but now this number has been reduced to 7.

In four years 63,000 trees have been cut down. These trees took many many years to grow. Mr district forestry officer and your whole forestry team where were you when 63,000 trees were being cut down. WHY DID YOU NOT REPORT THIS TO YOUR BOSSES NGATI MUMAONA KUTI ZAKUKULIRANI TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE SITUATION ?. This is the kind of civil servants that are bringing our country down. It is clear that you were benefiting some thing from the illegal logging, period.

If there are 15 guards guarding 7 trees, why can’t they stop the illegal logging?
