Mulu should be forgiven. Look closely at him. He looks illiterate, stupid, crooked, a thief, a swindler and anything evil you can think of. Now, tell me. Is this a face of anyone who can run a country?

The Mulakho Wa Lhomwe founder has been buried with his dream. I think it would naive of Malawians to expect Mulli to carry the dream forward; even Peter Mutharika won’t be able to. The thinking behind the formation of Mulaakho was probably noble but is irrelevant in today’s world especially with social intermarriages. Theres no such thing as pure Lhomwe or pure Chewa or indeed pure Ngoni. We are all Malawi with diverse cultural backgrounds…..finish

Yes yes time has come to accept reality. The truth is we are all practicing tribalism. And we should take a step further by promoting it. For example all civil servants should work in their home districts and this should extend to all NGOs operating in districts. If Malawi is failing to progress it’s because we bring people from other districts. Employment should be based on this. Viva tribalism

Muli is speaking in public what most Lhomwes discuss and agree in private. By speaking as he did, Muli was being honest, his statement reflecting the sad reality of Malawi’s tribal politics.

That is it. Tribal prejudice reigns supreme in Malawi. It is a reality but many have buried heads in the sand pretending that all is well.

I have suggested that these groups should not have these events separately bcs it’s dividing us more than uniting. In fact government should organise these cultural events altogether on the same occasion at the national stadiums

Yes, for the mere reason that the Ngonis, Chewas and even Tumbukas did not have their Mullis. Without the verbiage from the likes of Mulli, no one can be against these groups on the surface.

Malawi is already a divided society. Just look at people’s views or emotions arising from the quota system policy. Proponents who seem to outnumber critics have no room for compromise. As a consequence, the utterances at the grouping’s gathering as reported on this forum are a reflection of what other Malawians harbour in their day to day thoughts.

@Nyapapi mathanyura,
Don’t you worry. @paramount chief wa ku Thyolo is NOT a Lhomwe. In fact, he/she is a Lhomwe hater. Read his sentences with an eagle eye coupled with his pseudo name, you will agree with me that he/she is from the a tumbuka. And wants to incite other tribes to insult the Lhomwes on this forum.

Hahaha it’s hundred percent clear that you are not a Lhomwe and I can clearly see your tribe in your sentences, Mtumbuka. Yes you can’t hide. You are mtumbo. No any Malawian can talk like that unless you are coming from that Thengereland.

very interesting that Tumbukas are easily identified even when issues at hand are not even directly linked to them, it seems on any fight among tribes a suspect is a tumbuka, the smallest tribe in Malawi, but the most dominant tribe all across the country, this tribe is less than 200,000 people, but it seems it makes all tribes tremble, how can 200,000 people make 18 million tremble alwez? it can only a genius who can do that, yes there is a proof, in northern region of 1. 6 Million people with tumbukaz being 200,000 only, but u know what?… Read more »
