Mzimba market up in flames
Mzimba market is engulfed in fire from Saturday night. Witnesses say no cause has been identified, although others say it is an electrical fault.
There was no fire bridgate but after three hours fire fighters from Raiply arrived to extinguish but few shops had been gutted down.
There has been many fire incidents around the country, especially consuming markets.
Government has often said a political hand is involved whilst both the ruling and opposition authorities jostle to be first to console victims and donate politically motivated relief items through cash and other means.
Many believe the fires are a result of poorly planned and installed electrical services into markets, restaurants that do leave cooking fires alight when they knock off, and simple jealosy by arsonists.
So far Mzuzu, Lilonge, Blantyre and other districts and cities have experienced unexplained fires that have consumed millions of Kwachas.

City councils should build better markets with good wiring. Check these markets. People just tap electricity using naked wires!
