Mzomera denies being funded by DPP
Former People’s Party (PP) official Reverend Christopher Mzomera Ngwira has rubbished claims that he is being bankrolled by ruling Democratic Progress Party (DPP) to cause trouble in his former party, adding that he has been fighting to rejuvenate PP in good faith.
Mzomera Ngwira has been expelled as Provincial Chairman for the North for causing violence and being anti-democratic.
The party has also accused him of being used by the DPP and former vice president Khumbo Kachali to ) to weaken the party by demanding that Kachali should be appointed as the party’s president.
But Ngwira denied the allegations saying is he had any links with DPP he would declare it.
Ngwira speaking on Tiuzeni Zoona program on Zodiak radio revealed that he has been sending emails to PP founder Joyce Banda on how to handle the party’s leadership crisis but she never took heed of his advice, adding that he suspects Banda has been charmed by some party members not to listen to voice of reason.
“I have been sending emails to her, but there are some people whom I believe charmed her, she never listened to me. Mind you [Uladi] Mussa has never won a post at any convention in this country and he can’t lead the party or else he will make it sink,” said Ngwira on the radio,
He claimed there are a lot of contentious things that are happening in PP.
Ngwira, who is also parliamentarian for Mzimba Hora, was in December last year expelled from the party for declaring that Kachali should replace Banda who has been outside the country since losing elections in May 2014.
Later, Banda reinstated Ngwira.

Maybe he means his emails were forces rather than advice to JB. Regretable behaviour, an acting President can be either handpicked or elected at a forum. He/she is just an overseer.
