Point of correction: fuel coming frm Dar has always been a problem for malawian registered transporters. They, the Taifa make sure our transporters are frustrated in just loading Tz registered trucks only leaving Mw trucks for up to 3 weeks. The oil companys know this but won’t disturb the status quo because they get kickbacks frm the Tz transport firms. It doesn’t make business sense to wait 3 wks b4 loading, 1 wk traveiling, and 3 wks to offload making an effective 7 wks for just 1 trip. Taifas take just 2 wks for 1 trip.
