ZEXA ,if it were me,I could not even have hired you because it seems to me that you are also untutored. The alleged people who have been employed in Ministries,Churches and Companies are qualified professionally and academically contrary to your unfounded and jealousy assertions.Quota System was introduced primarly because Students from the hated North always passed with exemplary points unlike those Nyau dancers and rat (Mice) eaters whose passing points lack credibility, sorry.Perhaps, you must be informed that this trend had been there since colonial administrations and colonialists themselves acknowledged this fact. So,Quota System or no Quota System, nothing will deter our students… Read more »

This is the President the Lomwes are proud of because they say,he is highly educated they forget that a highly educated person can be a highly uneducated simpleton. He has treacherously failed to run the government despite his fake PhDs.Muluzi with minimal academic achievement, excelled in the running of the government by far than Mathanyula, yes he also had his own failures.Under Muluzi, hospitals had stacked with medicines, the economy was workable, nepotism was none existence, tribalism was unheard of in the entire nation, his government was inclusively for all Malawians regardless of tribal or ethnical affiliations. There were no Mlhakos WaAlomwe or WaAyao,we were all Malawians and he… Read more »

NEPOTISM,TRIBALISM,REGIONALISM,MHLAKO WA ALOMWEISM,TUMBUKAISM,CHEWAISM,YAOISM,SENAISM the list is unending.None of these isms will develop our nation economically and politically,we have proved it in that,Malawi is dangerously heading to severe self-infliction instead of proudly marching to prosperity, unity, love and trust the norms we inherited from our forefathers. The whole lot of national leadership to date, emanates exclusively from South and Central Malawi, but astonishingly, the overwhelming majority of our people suffer the same miseries in all three Regions and yet,the Northerners bear the blunt of insinuations and pejorative beyond comprehension and yet,we are all with Malawian blood in our veins. Our Lord God disapproves that and that,s why Malawians… Read more »

“Kanthu Ako” has a point: Wanga Gwede and some NT reporters have a tendency to quasi editorialize, and even putting words in the subjects’ mouths, subtly. Like we won’t notice! Too bad the Catholic priest in this case will not come out and and elaborate on his views. But to say favoritism in form of nepotism in Malawi is at its peak in the history of this country is plain hyperbole. Classic example, in Malawi, HKB (aka Alexander Hamilton), the number one tribe promoter. And many will argue that the Joisi Banda regime was second in the degree they promoted… Read more »

Nepotism started with atumbuka. The rest of us are just learning from them. Go check in ministries, companies, churches. When the leader is tumbuka, every employee becomes tumbuka. Nyansi zawanthu. Go check in Ministry of education, health, labour, agriculture and report back as to who is practicing real nepotism in this country.

One can not tell from this article what the Bishop actually said, and what words are being put in this mouth by the journalist.

Journalists complain too much about freedom, while at the same time they do not give the reader the freedom to make up their own mind by giving the story as it stands not what they want the story to be.

What the Bishop said is probably just two lines out of the whole write up. In other words there was no need for the story.
