NICO boss slapped for flirting with Doctor’s wife
Newly appointed Nico Life Chief Executive Officer Eric Chapola had a rude awakening on Sunday evening when he was slapped in full view of golfers by medical doctor Kondwani Chalulu on allegations that the insurance boss has been flirting with his wife.
The incident happened during the prize presentation ceremony for the Sunbird Golf Tournament which was being held at Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel.
Chalulu could not take it any longer and approached Chapola and gave him a few slaps in front of the shocked golfers which included some business captains.
“It was very embarrassing for Chapola because he did not retaliate, maybe knowing that what the Doctor was accusing him was true, but he assualted Chapola,” said an eye witness.
He said some colleagues restrained Chalulu from inflicting so much pain on the insurance boss by whisking him away.
Chapola is alleged to have been flirting Chalulu’s wife, Wilma, who works for the tax collecting body Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA.
But when contacted fir comment, Chapola dimissed the matter, saying “these allegations are not true and I really do not even want to talk about them.”
He refused to discuss the matter further.
