Democracy never helped or improved lives of ordinary people but politicians. what’s the point of having professors and doctors of different fields only ending-up to rule; not to lead a failed state where common people are becoming more poorer and more foolish each passing day. Couldn’t it be more productive, appreciative and useful if these so-called professors /doctors could be busy inventing products and services that could help to grow our economy? As citizens we should also admit that we have become complacent and lazy in driving our own political and economic agenda. This is seen in the number of people voting (last year it was at a disappointing 35% of those eligible to vote) and number of people showing up for demonstrations; and yet when politicians go rogue we are the first to complain via social media. Of course the smart politicians have recognised this gap and are taking full advantage of it. Malawi will only prosper if the citizenly is politically active

A good reflection on governance. We really lost direction 25 years ago. We are in neutral gear or auto piloted flight.
