Very sad that in almost all public schools there is no mentoring to identify pupils areas of academic streng to nurture them. The schools only focus on helping students pass the National exam without offering any guidance on career or vocational options open and available to them. It’s high time this changed and students be afforded the opportunity. It should start with those of us who went to universities and identify with students from the schools we went through. Let us give back by becoming mentors and regularly giving career and motivational talks to these young ones.
